The biological sciences curriculum is designed to investigate the fundamental mechanisms of living systems and how they operate. Our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and experienced faculty allow students to experience innovative experimental approaches to learning. An interdisciplinary approach provides our students with critical analytical and communication skills.
Our degree programs give students a firm foundation for pursuing science-related career paths in industry, medical professions, teaching, or pursuing an advanced graduate-level degrees. Concentrations include pre-medicine, neuroscience, and environmental studies. A diverse set of elective courses allow students to delve into more specialized topics such as botany, cellular & microbiology, ecology or zoology.

Students pursuing graduate-level programs in the health and medical fields are supported and advised by Rowan’s Office of Health Professions. The office has affiliations and partnerships with schools including Cooper Medical School at Rowan University and the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Whether it is going on to graduate studies at prestigious universities such as Harvard or working at research institutions like the Coriell Institute, our students excel in their academic and professional careers.
