Are you a local entrepreneur or a small business and have an idea? Do you want to connect with upper class Computer Science and Computing and Informatics students? Then, the Entrepreneurial Services Initiative may be the anwer you are looking for.
We want to connect with local entrepreneurs or small businesses with our upper class students to both give the students "real world" experience and help out with your projects. Mission Statement
The mission of the CS Entrepreneurial Services is to connect Rowan Faculty, local entrepreneurs, and small businesses with highly skilled, upper class CS and C&I Students who are interested in obtaining extra experience working on “real world” projects before graduation.
Our target demographic often has development needs that are either limited in scope or temporary; for example, building a web/mobile app, building custom POS system, setting up a simple custom website/online store. It often just doesn’t make sense to hire a full-time/in-house developer for these smaller scale projects and contracting with a professional firm can be cost prohibitive.
Our aim is to help resolve this issue by connecting these entrepreneurs, researchers, and businesses with our highly skilled students. Our students, under faculty supervision, will develop a project from start to finish. By utilizing a student-driven workforce, we are able to provide these services at a significantly reduced cost to clients. Simultaneously we’re also helping our students by giving them a chance to apply their hard-earned skills to real work. For more details, please get in touch.
