COGS in Cyber Security Principles

Add the CS Cyber Security Principles

Targeted population: Graduate students with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Purpose: The Certificate of Graduate Study (COGS) in Cybersecurity Principles is designed to offer students the opportunity of a specialized study to provide students with experience with the principles of cybersecurity at the graduate level.

Students seeking this COGS will be required to complete any four of the following 3 s.h. courses. None of the courses have prerequisites. This COGS is “stackable.” That is, all of the courses count for the MS in Cyber Security and some of the courses count for the MS in Computer Science.

Four of the following courses will be required to complete this COGS

  1. CS 03500: Foundations of Cybersecurity

  2. CS 03506: Cybersecurity Management, Policy, and Risk

  3. CS 03570: Cyber Defense of Operating Systems and Networks

  4. CS 03580: Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things - Architectures and Security

  5. CS 03551: Advanced Cybersecurity Principles and Applications
