Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary field of study that uses computational and statistical tools to answer large biological questions. The advent of next-generation DNA/RNA sequencing and other high-throughput biological techniques has resulted in extremely large datasets. In this program, students will learn underlying biological concepts as well the programming skills necessary to store, process and interpret such datasets.
