B.S. in Molecular & Cellular Biology

Molecular and Cellular Biology focuses on the study of the processes that govern living organisms. Comprehensive curricula cover theory and laboratory methods, allowing students to carry out and understand molecular and biomedical research. The program provides students a solid foundation in the life sciences preparing them for careers in the highly competitive health professions programs such as medical school, dental school, and pharmacy school, nursing, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry positions.

Curriculum in the MCB major focuses on molecular processes that underlie human health and disease.  Students who complete this major will have the opportunity to take advanced curriculum in Genetics, Genomics, Immunology, Physiology, Virology, Cancer Biology, Bioinformatics among others.  For the list of required courses and sample sequence for the MCB major follow the links below.
