Finding a research opportunity
There are many ways to find a research opportunity that fits your interests. An easy place to start is to talk to your professors and ask them for advice. You can also ask professors who you haven't had in class!
If you want to do research at Rowan, here are some places to start:
- BBS faculty websites: explore the BBS department faculty, looking at their individual pages to see what kind of research they do. Then reach out to those whose research interests you, to ask if there are any current or future research opporunities in their laboratory
- Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURP): the College of Science & Mathematics' Dean's Office funds summer research. The website linked here provides more information, including how to apply
If you want to do summer research elsewhere, here are some resources to help you with your search:
- Here's a long list of national and international research opportunities to explore
- PowerPoint presentation from a departmental workshop on finding research opportunities
