FEI Thermoscientific APREO S LoVac Scanning Electron Microscope
This electron microscope has detectors for back-scattered electrons and secondary electrons. It also has an Oxford AZTEC EDS detector and a STEM detector for transmission measurements. Studies can be done at higher pressures with an electrically conducting atmosphere for better imaging of insulating samples.

Scheduling & Training
This equipment is available for use by Rowan students, faculty, and staff, as well as external partners. Requests to use this equipment can be made through BookMyLab. To sign up for a BookMyLab account, visit rowanphysics.bookmylab.com and follow these instructions.
The use of this equipment requires training, Typically 4 hours (multiple sessions) for imaging, 1 additional hour for EDS. Please contact Dr. Ted Scabarozi at scabarozi@rowan.edu to schedule a training session.
