This concentration is designed for students interested in the science and practice of clinical and/or counseling psychology. The concentration requires a total of 15 credits (5 courses) of psychology elective courses as listed below. Due to course requirements, this concentration is only available to Rowan Main Campus students.
Program Goal
Students will gain a foundational understanding of psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions for emotional, behavioral, and psychological disorders. Students will develop basic clinical skills needed for initial psychological evaluations. Students will also explore pathways to graduate training and careers in clinical and counseling psychology, preparing them for roles in mental health services, or advanced study in clinical/counseling psychology.Eligibility & Application Form
This concentration is only available to Psychology (B.A.) or Psychological Science (B.S.) majors at the Rowan Main Campus.
Students must have received a B or higher in PSY 03200 Psychological Disorders OR PSY 09305 Developmental Psychopathology in order to declare the concentration.
Students should complete the application with the requested information. The concentration will be added once eligibility has been confirmed.
