Topic: SJ ACS October Meeting
Time: Tuesday, October 15th, 2024

6:00 to 7:00PM Social Hour & Pizza

7:00PM Seminar (abstract below)

Abstract:

Extreme temperatures necessary in the glass converting process causes sublimation of glass components. Consequently, these components re-sublimate on the glass surface causing a structural change of the very inner glass surface layer. An altered inner glass surface layer leaves drugs at a high risk of increased levels of extractables and leachable, pH shift, and glass delamination.

With this presentation, we provide new data on innovative technology that yields exceptional inner surface durability and demonstrates the key attributes for functionality of ideal parenteral glass packaging. Focus will be on the behavior of the inner glass surface.

Location:  The October meeting will be held at White Horse Winery in Hammonton, NJ.  It is conveniently located off both Route 322 and the Atlantic City Expressway.  Directions via Google Maps can be accessed by clicking this link.

The event will cost $15 per person for full members (to help defray the cost of the room), and $5 per person for active students. This price does not include wine - cash bar only; pizza will also be served at the event.
