Major Instrumentation

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is housed in the spectacular new $45 million Science Hall. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with 27 modern and safe teaching labs and 24 research labs for faculty-student research in chemistry and biochemistry. The Departments of Biological Sciences, and Physics and Astronomy are also in Science Hall.

You'll have access to the latest technology and equipment. Every student gets hands-on training with our state-of-the-art equipment. Our graduates report how well trained they are in instrument use when they start work or begin research in graduate school.

Chemistry & Biochemistry majors have their own club room and computer facility on the chemistry floor. Abundant study space is present for individual and group study. Faculty are always nearby to assist. The following is a partial list of equipments and instrumentation in our department.
