Infectious Disease Epidemiology | Disease Surveillance
My dissertation research focuses on the detection, surveillance, and epidemiology of tick-borne diseases in the United States using electronic medical records and hospital admissions data. During my PhD program, I discovered my passion teaching, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach courses in a variety of fields; from epidemiology to ethics. In my free time, I enjoy reading/studying history, playing with my dog, and hiking (while doing my best to avoid tick bites, of course).
