About the Department: 

With a wide variety of challenging offerings, the Mathematics Department at Rowan University offers a competitive, yet fun, learning environment. Students have the option of two undergraduate degrees, a graduate program and several concentrations. Our faculty is comprised of experts in many areas, including applied and theoretical mathematics, statistics, abstract algebra and analysis. Rowan's math students boast noteworthy credentials as well. Many have conducted original research, participated in national and international mathematics competitions and published papers with faculty. Contact us here.

Graduate Programs in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University is now offering a Masters in Mathematics, with three concentrations (Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Pure Mathematics). This program is ideal for students who want to pursue further graduate studies or a career in industry. The M.A. program provides hands-on experience and advanced training so students are prepared with the enhanced skills needed in industry or academic research institutes. Students will need to successfully complete a total of 30 credits (4 semesters only!)

Math Colloquium

The next Math Colloquium is Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 3:30pm. The colloquium is being held remotely on Google Meet at Title:  Structural Results for Hamiltonian Paths in Cographs. This talk is given by Jonathan Tyler, a research student of Dr. Hieu Nguyen.
