Neuroscience at Rowan

The Neuroscience major, available in Fall 2024, will provide students with interdisciplinary training in this exciting field, preparing them for future careers in medicine and research. Graduates of this program will develop a strong understanding of the nervous system and how it affects and controls cognition, memory, sensory perception, and other physiological systems. Students will learn about how molecular and cellular processes relate to psychological and behavioral outcomes, and will gain an appreciation of a growing area of the field, Computational Neuroscience, in which modeling can allow a deeper understanding of this critical system. This major will also provide strong experiential learning outcomes through two semesters of research or field work.

Students who complete this degree will be well equipped for a wide variety of careers including:

  • Medical School
