Gateway Gators Visit CS Department

Just this past week, we here at the department were lucky enough to talk with some visiting Gators from Gateway High! Professor Jack Myers and department head Dr. Vasil Hnatyshin got the chance to give a talk and tour to the visiting high schoolers. Professor Myers spoke of the wide variety of coursework offered by the three computer science majors, as well as the wide variety of out-of-the-classroom opportunities. Students got a personalized tour of our home on the third floor, examining the equipment in the MakerSpace and watching real CS students work in the Tech Lounge. The Gateway students appreciated the amount of opportunities offered here at Rowan, to the point where it almost seemed overwhelming. Overall, we are more than happy to talk with the Gateway Gators. We love letting students learn about what life could be like at Rowan.
