Teaching Narrative:
Dr. Mengsha Yao began her teaching journey in 2016 as a teaching assistant during her Ph.D. studies. During her postdoctoral research, she taught undergraduate courses as an instructor for three years before joining Rowan as an Assistant Teaching Professor in 2025. Dr. Yao is passionate about teaching and is dedicated to providing high-quality mathematics education. She believes that learning math is a journey of exploration and growth, where students may struggle, make mistakes, and try different strategies. Through this process, they develop confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills that help them face challenges both in academics and in life.
