Textbook Information for Introductory Physics Courses Fall 2017

For our introductory calculus- and algebra-based physics courses we have adopted the OpenStax texts and the ExpertTA online homework system.  The textbook is free in electronic (PDF) format or online access; if you want a hardcopy of the text there will be a nominal printing fee.  The online homework system can be purchased per semester but you get lifetime access after your second semester payment.

Intro Mechanics, Intro Thermo/Fluids/Waves/Optics, and Intro E&M

 OpenStax University Physics, vol. 1, vol. 2, and vol. 3 along with the ExpertTA online homework system (your professor will give you a class code for registration).

Physics I w/o Calculus and Physics II w/o Calculus

 OpenStax College Physics along with the ExpertTA online homework system (your professor will give you a class code for registration).

Physics of Everyday Life

Check with your instructor and/or bookstore website for how to get and register for the WileyPlus online homework system.
