Specific Objectives
- Students will know the basic principles of behavior and the empirical basis for these principles.
- Students will know how to apply these basic principles of behavior to effectively change individual and group behavior.
- Through supervised experience in community agencies, students with become proficient in the behavioral assessment and treatment of different problems and issues confronting children with a variety of special needs.
- Students will demonstrate knowledge and ability to assess and identify the function of behavior and behavior problems.
- Students will learn how to systematically evaluate interventions and to provide feedback to clients and consumers.
- Students will learn the professional identity of behavior analysts and demonstrate how to apply ethical principles in practice.

Coursework
The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. has approved the following course sequence as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Examination. Applicants will have to meet additional requirements to be eligible to be certified as BCBA.
- PSY 01510 - History, Philosophy, and Conceptual Foundations of Behavior Analysis (3 credits)
- PSY 02500 - Basic Principles of Behavior (3 credits)
- PSY 02510 - Research Methods in Behavior Analysis (3 credits)
- PSY 02610 - Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credits)
- PSY 02620 - Behavioral Assessment & Functional Analysis (3 credits)
- PSY 02680 - Advanced Practice in ABA (3 credits)
- PSY 02670 - Ethics in ABA (3 credits)
- PSY 02671 - Behavioral Consultation, Supervision, and Management (3 credits)
