Science Hall

The Department of Biological Sciences is housed in the Science Hall, which opened in 2003. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with modern teaching and research labs for faculty and student research.

You'll have access to the latest technology and equipment including:

  • A cell culture facility with cell culture incubators and inverted microscopes with digital imaging cameras
  • Cutting-edge equipment and instrumentation for isolating and analyzing DNA, RNA and proteins from cells
  • A rooftop greenhouse with climate control and fogging systems, a weather station, and compound and dissecting microscopes

Classrooms are small and designed to promote student engagement, group work, and close interactions with faculty. The images below show a typical classroom (24-26 students) and our seminar room.
