Study Abroad

Rowan University's International Center offers study abroad opportunities through their Education Abroad programs. Many are appropriate for Biological Sciences Majors.

We highlight two below, but talk to your faculty advisor, your academic advisor, and the advisors in the Education Abroad office for guidance on how you could study abroad while getting credit towards your major and beyond!

Sea Semester: this program is offered by the Sea Education Association (SEA), and includes a combination of study on their Cape Cod, MA campus and study while on board one of their sailing vessels while doing scientific and cultural research around the world.

GAIAS Institute: this exchange program is through the University of San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. The semester includes classes mostly on San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos Islands, while some coursework is offered in the captial, Quito.
