Assistant Professor

Jonathan Mathias Lassiter, Ph.D. is a polymath who utilizes psychology, writing, and dance to help others heal and thrive. His roles include licensed clinical psychologist, professor, author, public speaker, and choreographer. As a public intellectual, Dr. Lassiter has been featured on television, radio, podcasts, and print such as PBS and Sirius XM.

Currently, Dr. Lassiter is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Rowan University, Founder and Chief Psychology Officer at Lassiter Health Initiatives, co-host of Fly on the Wall on YouTube, and Artistic Associate at The Black Acting Methods Studio.

Associate Professor

 

Dr. Flores received a B.S. in physics from NYU Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. and Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Michigan. He researches the paradoxes of quantum physics. Currently, his research focuses on resolving the wave-particle duality paradox. Please join us to learn about Dr. Flores and how he decided to study physics and pursue a career in academics and research.  ​

 

Associate Professor

 

Professor Moura-Letts’ background is in synthetic organic chemistry with an emphasis on drug design. He obtained his Ph.D. from University of Pittsburgh and completed his training with fellowships at the Ohio-State University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

 

His research group is focused on developing novel methods for the synthesis of biologically relevant molecular scaffolds. He has a number of projects dedicated to the synthesis of small molecule libraries with a diverse array of biological properties and to the discovery of novel reaction pathways for the synthesis of complex molecules.

 

Assistant Professor

 

Dr. Vaughn will be sharing her path to becoming a community-based, participatory research scientist addressing chronic disease prevention in underserved and urban settings. She has training in cardiovascular behavioral medicine and has focused her career on health disparities reduction and trauma informed programs. Dr. Vaughn will discuss some of her current research, her challenges, her accomplishments, and her advice for students interested in following a similar path.  ​
