Teaching Narrative:
I started my career as a medical technologist in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I worked in the blood bank and serology/immunology laboratories. During my graduate studies, I worked on research involving endogenous retroviruses and autoimmune syndromes. I've been teaching various undergraduate biology courses for almost 30 years, in both face-to-face and online formats, including general biology, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, immunology, and parasitology. While working as a medical technologists, I also taught clinical chemistry, clinical hematology, and clinical microbiology courses.
