Applied Geographic Knowledge and Skills
The Applied Geographic Knowledge and Skills minor is intended to give students an opportunity to develop skills in geography education.

Applied Mathematics
The Applied Mathematics minor consists of 21 semester hours and increases the mathematics major's ability to apply various fields of mathematics in the formulation, analysis and evaluation of problems in the physical, biological and social sciences.

Astronomy
The Astronomy minor is available to any student desiring a more advanced study in astronomy and astrophysics with the requisite quantitative skills and background.

Biological Sciences
The Biological Sciences minor provides students with a broad background in biology and consists of 23-24 semester hours.

Chemistry
The Chemistry minor is available for any student wishing a coherent sequence of chemistry courses. The minor is not available for Physical Sciences B.S. students specializing in chemistry or Biochemistry majors.

Climate Science
The Applied Geographic Knowledge and Skills minor consists of at least six courses for a minimum total of 19 credit hours. Students are required to take at least two of the minor-required courses with the Environmental Science Department and at least two of the minor-required courses with the Geology Department.

Community and Environmental Planning
The Community and Environmental Planning minor consists of 18 total credit hours.

Computer Science
The Computer Science minor helps students prepare to make effective use of computers in their careers. It may be particularly attractive to students from engineering, business administration, education, the social sciences and the life and physical sciences.

Data Science
The Data Science minor is designed to give students a strong foundation in programming, data structures, statistics, and data mining.

Environmental & Sustainability Studies
The Environmental & Sustainability Studies minor consists of 18 total credit hours.

Environmental Science
The Environmental Science minor consists of 18-20 total credit hours.

Foundations of Biomedical Sciences

Geographic Inquires into Global Issues
The Geographic Inquires into Global Issues minor allows students to specialize in the application of geographic approaches to contemporary world problems.

Geographical Information Science
The Environmental Science minor consists of 19 total credit hours.

Geography
The Geography minor consists of 18 total credit hours.

Geology
The Geology minor offers students interested in the subject either the opportunity to enhance their degree and career goals, or simply follow a passion through maximum flexibility in curriculum by taking a minimum of 22 credits within the discipline. The minor in Geology will provide a framework of Geology with the ability to specialize in an area of interest through selecting 4-5 courses beyond two gateway-foundation courses of interest or that would best support their current degree goals.

Geoscience
The Geoscience minor includes coursework in physical geography and geology. By taking course in the Minor students will be introduced to the varied physical landscapes found on earth and the processes that have contributed to their formation. This Minor is an excellent complement to students majoring in all degree programs in the department.

Materials Science
The Materials Science minor gives students a foundation in the interdisciplinary field of researching and discovering materials, and how their structure, processing, and properties influence their performance.

Mathematics
The Mathematics minor encourages and facilitates the acquisition of mathematical skills and concepts. It thus provides an added dimension to a student's program.

Neuroscience
The Neuroscience minor is designed for students interested in the interdisciplinary study of molecular, structural, chemical, cognitive, physiological, and behavioral aspects of the brain and nervous system.

Physics
A Physics minor is available to any student desiring a more extensive introduction to the field and a taste of more advanced topics in physics.

Psychology
The Psychology minor is designed for students desiring a substantial background in psychology while majoring in another field. The minor allows students the flexibility to choose courses that will further their career goals.

Statistics and Operations Research
The Statistics and Operations Research minor is designed to increase the mathematics major's abilities in data analysis, mathematical modeling, algorithmic reasoning, and problem solving, as well as one's knowledge in the fields of probability and mathematical statistics.

Sustainability Science
The Sustainability Science minor combines the study of sustainability with the scientific method. It focuses on natural and social science. Students in this minor will study sustainability utilizing the scientific methods as applied to both social and natural questions.

Sustainable Built Environments
The Sustainable Built Environments minor is a program shared with Rowan's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Students in the minor take classes from both departments that emphasize the environmental dimensions of building and site design, and offer students the chance to learn and apply skills relating to the booming 'green building' industry.
