About The Program
The demand for cybersecurity professionals is rapidly increasing, with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projecting a staggering 33% growth in employment for information security analysts from 2020 to 2030, making it one of the fastest-growing occupations in the nation. As organizations face an escalating number of cyber threats, the need for skilled experts in cybersecurity has become critical across all sectors, including finance, healthcare, government, and technology. Companies are seeking professionals who can protect sensitive data, manage security protocols, and implement effective defense strategies against cyberattacks.
This program is designed for highly motivated students passionate about the field of cybersecurity. It allows qualified students to begin taking graduate courses during their senior year, enabling them to accelerate their graduate studies while completing their undergraduate degree and paying undergraduate tuition and fees. The ADDP BS/MS degree program offers an opportunity for interested and qualified students to complete the Rowan University Computer Science Department’s Bachelor of Arts in Computing & Informatics and Master of Science in Cybersecurity in a streamlined timeframe — typically in five years instead of six.
Admission Requirements
- Complete 75 credits towards the Computing & Informatics major at Rowan University. This includes credits you have already completed plus any credits you are actively working on at the time of applying. Discuss the logistics of completion with your advisor.
- Earn a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Earn a major-specific GPA of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. (Found in degreeworks)
- Have a Banner ID assigned to you.
- Obtain two letters of recommendation from faculty members familiar with your academic performance.
- Please confirm with your chosen faculty members before listing their names in your application. Faculty members will receive an email with a link to complete and submit their recommendations electronically through the portal.
- Complete the application and all required materials by the deadlines: December 31 for spring entry, or June 30 for Fall entry.
