Biography

Chia Chien received her B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Drexel University. Her research interests include Computer Science Education, Active Learning Strategies and Learning Assistants Model in Computer Science, Internships and Cooperative Education. She currently serves as the course coordinator for Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming (IOOP), Computer Science Learning Community (LiBBy), Introductory and Advanced Learning Assistant Seminars, and Computer Field Experience. She is the program coordinator for the Computer Science CUGS in Computer Programming and CUGS in Fundamental Computing. She also serves as the coordinator for CS student-centered programs including Peer Mentors, Learning Assistants, Tutoring, Internship and Co-ops.

Chia Chien has taught these Rowan courses: CS Learning Community (LiBBy), Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming (IOOP), Object-Oriented Programming and Data Abstraction (OOPDA), Introductory Learning Assistants Seminar, Advanced Learning Assistants Seminar, Computer Field Experience.
